I love story-telling, word vomiting and penning love letters. I am a clumsy human bean, the equivalent of a baby giraffe.
I am also a journalist, hoping to make a positive difference in the world through my work.
I completed a Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University in Wellington in 2019, New Zealand. I also did a stint at Canterbury University because I couldn’t resist the magnetising pull of the ski fields.
During my time at Canterbury University, I edited the student magazine, CANTA, where I successfully campaigned for its independence from the student union (woohoo!).
Since then, I’ve interned with several magazines, worked for New Zealand news publications across print and radio and I freelance for media around the world. See my portfolio here.
Lately:
This last chapter of my life has been full of stories I never could have predicted. I spent 2022 travelling around Europe and last year, living and working in Japan. It’s been a whirlwind ride and I’ve been tasting lots of different lives I could live. I’ve learned my favourite things are eating food, drinking cheap wine, dancing with the people I love most and telling stories.
Current:
I’ve arrived with a whoop of joy back on home soil in Aotearoa, New Zealand. I’m pursuing my career as a journalist working at RNZ while also working on personal projects such as Wonder and the Messy Hearts Art Club [WATCH THIS SPACE].
Next:
Saving those pennies and day dreaming about the next adventure.
